Support the City to invest in alignment with community

Community supports funding for neighbourhood-led planning in Toronto's 2026 budget.
Toronto invests $250,000 per neighbourhood for community-led anti-Black racism planning.
Community-led planning opportunities to support city alignment with residents.

On December 9th, 2025, Toronto's Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee (CABRAC)  proposed to City Council to budget $250,000 per neighbourhood to conduct community-led planning. City Council is currently considering if to implement the proposal. The Executive Committee expressed that the proposal aligns in spirit with their interest, but have not yet committed to allocate funding.
